Ocean Rock Team Leader The team is led by Dave Thom an accomplished sprint and marathon paddler who has been paddling for over 40 years throughout the UK, Europe, Iceland, and Canada, kicking off his sea paddling career in 1964 by kayaking around the coast of Cyprus. Dave's accomplishments include:
Extensive kayaking in the highlands and islands of Scotland, including a two way crossing of the Minch to the Outer Hebrides Crossing the Pentland Firth to circumnavigate Hoy and the Orkney Islands Four 2 way crossings of the English Channel, one at night. After many years in competitive canoeing and kayaking Dave started coaching in 1972 and has coached literally hundreds of paddlers, from beginners to experts, ever since. |
